
Credit Union Outreach
A Credit Union Outreach now operates from the community hall at Quinton Park Baptist Church; this is an initiative of the South Coventry Churches Together working in partnership with Coventry & District Credit Union. It arose because various church leaders get a lot of people coming to them about money worries, and SCCT wanted somewhere in the local area to point them to.
Credit Unions are also something promoted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, as they provide an alternative to payday lenders and loan sharks, for those who have limited financial resources and can’t get the help they need from ordinary banks.
Volunteers are at QPBC to open accounts and progress savings, from 10am – 12noon each Thursday. Further information can be seen on the Coventry & District Credit Union website:
